Why I started Mizan.

A litre of argan oil sold in bulk earns its producer about 400 MAD. Turned into serum, soap and cosmetic oil, the same litre can earn her up to 3 800 MAD. Nothing about the oil changes. Only the form does.

I don’t lend money and I don’t buy their stock. I help the women get small loans from Al Amana and Arrawaj, the lenders already in their villages. Together we choose what they can make with the kitchen and skills they already have. This shop sells it, and the margin shown on each product goes to her.

So far that’s 60 women in 5 cooperatives, across two provinces. If a number here looks wrong, write and I’ll send the workings.
